California — land-transition accounting + a CEQA-stage LESA pre-screen.

Pick a place and a pair of survey cycles: read the ledger of what its farmland became — acre by acre, class by class — and score what the next project would cost.

• Every transition is a real per-field join on DWR/Land IQ's stable UniqueID across two statewide crop surveys. No geometry is intersected and no acreage is modelled.
• The California LESA Model (CDC 1997, per SB 850) is computed live from USDA SSURGO (Land Capability + California Revised Storie Index) and the survey itself. Every factor prints its source.
• This is a screening and accounting tool — not a determination of significance, not a system of record, and not an observation. The lead agency determines significance.
• The app never says "converted". It says which survey classed a field what, in which year.
