Underserved Gap & Take Rate
Everyone funding broadband works from a map of availability — who can buy service — then must decide about revenue, which is who does. They are different maps. This app cross-tabulates both on the same census blocks: availability down, take rate across, cell area proportional to households. Click a cell and the whole app adopts that population. The fourth row is the finding — 87 % of California’s funded gap was never measured, and the revenue gap is 20× larger.
